A Day of Inspiration and Opportunity
The program kicks off with an invocation by Fr. Peter Fillo, DCISM’s System Administrator, followed by a warm welcome from Dr. Glenn G. Glarino, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences. Fr. Jesuraj Anthoniappen, SVD, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, will formally introduce the event’s mission and significance.
USC President Fr. Francisco Antonio Estepa, SVD, PhD will share a message of support, emphasizing USC’s commitment to industry collaboration, followed by remarks from Charles Yu, CEO of HatchIT, who will underscore the industry’s readiness to engage with emerging tech talent.
The event also marks a significant partnership milestone with the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between USC and HatchIT. The MOA outlines mutual commitments: USC ensures student participation and promotional support, while HatchIT offers internship opportunities, publicity benefits, and continued collaboration with the university.
A group photo session follows the signing, capturing this pivotal partnership moment. To close the event, HatchIT COO Matthew Rapes will deliver a final message, reinforcing the shared vision of empowering students for real-world tech careers.
